Podcast recorders are mobile audio recorders or mobile mini sound studios that are specially designed to meet the needs of podcasters and live streamers. When we developed our PodTrak series, we focused on making it as easy as possible to use, so that even audio novices can produce their own podcast with our PodTrak P4 or PodTrak P8 without any help. The basic features of a device designed for podcast productions include the ability to record audio signals digitally onto removable SD memory cards or to send them digitally to the computer, e.g. for live streams – in other words, they can also be used as a USB audio interface. In addition, good microphone preamps, integrated control amplifiers, a compressor, equalizer, low-cut filter and effects for speech – as well as internal audio processing options for cutting, copying and optimizing audio recordings for podcast studios such as the PodTrak P8 – are a must. Our PodTrak Recorders also offer special features like those found in broadcast studios. This includes sound pads for incorporating effects or jingles, as well as the possibility of involving external interview guests via a connected telephone.
